Driven by passion; fueled by fire! Vanessa’s journey began 4 years ago in body building. “I truly didn’t know what I was getting into at the moment; yet, I was being placed on a path I never knew I’d love as much as I do! My dad is my inspiration. I, along with my family, took care of him for 2 years until my guardian angel left us. I had to find strength within this journey to care for him and so I did, building 10 pounds of muscle; all in honor of him. There is not a prep that goes by without him!
I’ve taken that passion into helping others achieve their goals and trademarked my name and business: Fitnesa’s Dolls carrying the same drive as though I’m still helping my dad. I am a Group Fitness Instructor, Fitness trainer, Zumba, and Strong BY Zumba Instructor.
Besides fitness, I’m also a captioner working with hearing-impaired students both online and onsite on a daily basis in the academic capacity. This has been my career for the past 9 years, and absolutely love what I do!” says @fit_nesa

January 25, 2020, placed 1st in Figure Class A and Masters 35+.
What prior competitions have you been to and what did you place in those?
Spectrum Productions and 5th in Figure Class A and Masters 35+ / Fitcon OC placed 1st in bikini.

Won trophies in all!

Jon Lindsey’s Muscle Contest California State Championships on May 23, 2020.

Briefly describe your current workout regimen
I weight train 4-5 days a week. I do cardio 5-6 days a week. I take 1 rest day. And, yes, I’m currently 10 weeks away!!!

I was a cheerleader in high school (bubbly personality still shows through!). I’ve ran a couple half marathons as an adult. Best time was 1:41 coming in top 10!
Tell us about your favorite teams.
I grew up watching the Boston Celtics with my dad. That was his team. I remember all the LA Lakers fans taunting and teasing him about it. He stayed true to them until the day he left us! That’s my team now.
