Estela Rios

Estela used to weigh 405 pounds. Almost 5 years ago her mother passed away and then she decided to change her life. She became a world competitor for the US, has 3 world titles in Japan, Ireland, and Brasil, became the first international athlete to compete in 5 divisions and for the US and placed in the top 5. She currently has more than 37 titles. 

“I’ve dedicated this journey to my mother who passed away on Mother’s Day in 2015 and to my father who just passed away a couple of weeks before, that’s why these shows mean much more”. Estela is also a single mother of 5 boys whose ages are between 6 and 15 years old. Works in two jobs, at night as a caretaker for the elderly in-home and in the daytime, she cares for the mentally challenged children. She’s also a professional coach and trainer. 

Life has been full of challenges for Estela and She has known how to overcome each one of them. “I am a domestic violence survivor as well as a recovering heroin addict been clean for about 18 years now and also a cancer survivor,” says @stellasjourney2

This 5 years journey includes dozens of competitions with top placing, been a competitor in several national and international shows. Recently, in the Japan Muscle International Contest in February this year, where Estela placed third out of 7 countries. She’s now on prep to compete at the Tanji Johnson’s show in June, then Washington State in July and finally Vienna, Austria in December.

I placed top 5 in all took overall at Oregon state and 1st for all my classes

Olympia Washington, June 27th and Washington State, July 20th

7 days a week prepping for Tanji Johnson’s show in June then Washington state in July then off to Vienna Austria in December to compete for America
